Quillacollo:
One of the most important towns in the Cochabamba
valley. A colonial temple is one of the main attractions
in this town that grows vertiginously.
Tunari
National Park: located on the northern area of the
city. This park protects a sector of the highlands of Tunari,
where the biggest attraction is the pick of the same name that
has an altitude of 5,020 meters.
Isiboro-Secure Park: Without
any doubt, this is one of the most important parks of Bolivia,
because the typology of the land varies in a considerable way.
It is located at the northeast of the department of Cochabamba.
El
Chapare: Rivers, birds and vegetation, they are part
of the beautiful landscape of this county of tropical climate,
located to the north of Cochabamba.
Incachaca:
tropical area of beautiful falls of water and restless creeks.
Located at 80 kilometers from the city. Sport fishing is allowed
in this area.
Morochaza:
Here you can visit the spas of thermal waters of Santa Rosa and
Independence. In this place, located at five hours of Cochabamba,
there are pretty lagoons, ideal for trout fishing and to observe
canadian geeses, wild ducks, partridges, condors, flamingos and
vizcachas.
Archaeological remains: Many pre-colombinan vestiges can be still
appreciated in Cochabamba. The Collas and Incas
remains demonstrate the importance that this region had before
the Spanish conquest. Among the ruins that should be visited are
those of Inkallajta, Choro,
Tablas, Durazno,
Walta, Tres
Tetillas, Komercocha (green lagoon)
and Pocona.
