For example, in the Highland or in the Andean located at more than 3,000 m.a.s.l., the climate is quite hard. The temperatures in the day fluctuate between 15 and 18 centigrade degrees; while in the nights they descend considerably and in the winter (June-August), they are freezING. The rain season begins in November and finishes in March.
The valleys, also called Yunga region, are warmer and posses a tropical sub humid climate, characterized by the humidity. The annual average temperature is 23 centigrade degrees.
